TRUST YOUR BIBLE. IT'S TRUE!

I read this article from the book, the word for today, writen by Bob Gass- Bob is the author of the book. And i want to share it with you.

The death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ fulfilled no less than twenty-nine different Old Testament prophecies. The odds of that happening are virtually imposible!

Mathematician Peter stoner explains it this way: 'if you were to cover the states of Texas two feet deep in pound coins, then on one, place a mark. What is the probabilty that a blind person could, on their first attempt, select the coin? that's the likelihood of just eight prophecies being fulfilled in one lifetime. And Jesus fulfilled 29 of them in one day!'.

Let's look  at some prophecies he fulfilled:

 1) '..... They pierced my hands and ....feet' (psalms 22:16)

2) 'they divided my garments...and...cast lots' (psalms 22:18)

3)'...in that day...i will make the sun go down at noon, and...darken the earth in...daylight ' (amos 8:9). Jesus predicted both his death and resurrection.Jesus orchestrated every event, includin Judas' betrayal, the high priest's hypocrasies, and peter's denial. why? 'THAT THE WRITINGS OF THE PROPHETS MIGHT BE FULFILLED.'

so you can trust your bible because it is true. and something else is true too. God is able to do immeasurably more than what we ask or imagine (ephesians 3:20). what seems impossible to you at the moment, is all in a day's work for him. so start trusting him to work on your behalf.

CAN GOD COUNT ON YOU? HOW YOU CAN MAKE GOD COUNT ON YOU

One of the things that God will not do is to bypass the responsible. In fact, his system of justice and righteousness will not allow him to do it God will not bypass the responsible for divine assignment and divine communication.
when you see anyone who proves him or herself responsible before God over time, God cannot but give him/her more assignments and reveal his secrets to him/her. God will not bypass that responsible father, the responsible church, the responsible Pastor, the responsible Brother etc. There is something beautiful about responsibility; it draws a man to God. if you want God to be committed to you, all you need to do is to be faithful to him and live a life of responsibility before him.

Among the sons of Jesse, it was the responsibility of David that drew God to him. He was responsibible over the flock of sheep; he was responsible to his father's assignment.

A worthy example of a responsible man that God will not bypass for divine communication is ABRAHAM (Gen. 18:16-19)  When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way. 17 Then the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.[a] 19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.

4 WAYS TO BUILDING A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST

Relationship is one awesome thing humans enjoy having with one another, with greater relationships, there is no bound to what extent you can go, with you partner, But do you know that our Lord Jesus Christ also loves having a great relationship with us.But then how can we have a relationship with Jesus, that knows no bound?  we have once publish an article similar to this one, you can check it out if you haven't read it (having quiet time and daily relationship with God ).

How could a relationship be more intimate? Follow this steps Jesus took to have an intimate relationship with the father.
  1. He Rose in the pre-dawn hours to pray
  2. He communed with his father through the night while others slept
  3. He turned away from incessant demands and expectations of others to be sure that his agenda lined up with God's agenda
  4. Don't think of God as a deity to discuss but of a place to dwell.
All of this Jesus Christ did to have a better relationship with God, the only thing you have to do is to emulate this process that Jesus Christ did, and then you will find out that gradually you are having a stronger relationship with Jesus. Most of all is STUDYING THE WORD DAILY.

CHRISTIAN DOMESTIC DISCIPLINE

Discipline is defined as the training of the mind and body to produce self control, orderliness, obedience and capacity for cooperation. In the army, a soldier is expected to be disciplined and to distinguish himself from civilians. In like manner a christian as a soldier of Christ (II Tim.2:3-4) is expected to be disciplined and to behave differently from unbelievers.

CHRISTIAN DISCIPLINE

we will practically discuss how a christian should discipline himself in the following aspects of life.
  1. USE OF TONGUE: (Jas. 3:2-10) This little member can be used positively to offer praises and prayers to God (Jas. 5:13), preach the word (Jas.5:10), confession of sins and our faith (1Jn. 1:9 and II kings 4:25-26), confession unto salvation (Rom. 10:10), turn situations around (Col. 4:6,  Prov. 15:1). It is basically used for good and bad, therefore a christian has to discipline himself or herself  so as not to use the negative aspect of the tongue. When last did you use the words: "Please" and "Thank you" ? Words take their root from unregenerated heart and thereof, an unregenerated tongue. The Bible enjoins us to care for our heart (Prov. 4:23) because it determines our fate. (Matt. 12:37).
  2. MODERATION IN ALL THINGS: (Eating, Sleeping, Dressing, Spending, Over Speeding, etc) - Phil:4:5; Prov. 23:21; Phil. 3:19; Prov. 20:13; 1 Timothy 2:9; Deut 22:5.
  3. DEBT OF: Money, Promise or vow, Time, Preaching the gospel, Punctuality, self-control orderliness at meeting.
  4. Diligence at Work: Prov. 22:29; 24:30-31
Respect for parents and the law of the land, respect for one another especially elders, ministers, and leaders in the church.

By doing things "Decently and in order" in the church, holiness will surely be reflected in the body of Christ. Our salvation takes us away form certain behaviours and connects us to Christ.  don't forget to like our fanpage on facebook christly minded

HAVING A QUIET TIME AND DAILY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Quiet time is the time set aside regularly to go to a quiet place and meet with God. It is the time set aside to communicate with the father through the living word with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and also to bring our requests to God in prayer. Through quiet time we cultivate a relationship with God.

WHY DO WE NEED QUIET TIME?

  1. we need God's power to cope with daily activities - 1kings 19:7, Jn15:5, Isa.40:31, Prov.3:5-6.
  2. we pattern our lives after our Lord Jesus Christ's life by following his steps - Matt.14:23, Mk.1:25, 6:46, 1Pet. 2:21.
  3. To cultivate a personal habit of worshiping the Lord and thereby help our personal devotion - 1Pet.2;2, Josh.1:8, Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 95:6.
  4. To create personal adjustment to the teachings of the Bible, Living by the word, reacting positively to the Bible - Jn.1:12-14, Matt.6:6, Phil. 2:1, 1Pet 2:2, James 1:21-25.
  5. Create right reaction to trials and temptations that befall us. Substance already imparted in us help to react to situations and circumstances - 1Pet. 1:3-7, Heb.12:10-11.

WHAT YOU REQUIRE FOR QUIET TIME

  1. The Holy Bible (it is advisable to have more than one version and a good reference of the Bible by the side).
  2. Hymn book/chorus book and dictionary.
  3. Notebook and a Pencil
  4. List of Prayers points
  5. Aid: maybe a daily devotionals.

TIME AND PLACE OF QUIET TIME

  1. Frequently , at least once a day - Dan. 6:10
  2. place: a quiet place.
  3. Duration: to be determined by the believer such that it does not encroach on another activity for the day and keeping in mind that God deserves our best, not our left over.
  4. Period of the day: at any acceptable time, preferably early in the morning.
don't forget to like our facebook page christly minded

BENEFITS OF QUIET TIME

  1. provides an opportunity for the soul to linger in the presence of God, laying the innermost being before him.
  2. Entering a reverent and affectionate yet fruitful conference with him.Creates an atmosphere where God speaks to you and you speak back to him.
  3. working knowledge of the bible.
  4. we get to know God, his nature, character and ways.
A fruitful and consistent quiet time brings out a balanced spiritual development in at least three different areas:
healthy and fruitful bible knowledge and fruitful prayer life.

IS IT RIGHT: TO JUDGE, TO EXPOSE ERROR AND TO CALL NAMES?

Saw this article on a friends blog and decided to share it with you all. here it is. (source: acts1711daily.com)

Many today believe that it is wrong to expose error and to name names. Liberals have always seemed to believe this, but in recent times it has been widely espoused by evangelicals and charismatics. Now we are seeing the same fatal error being declared by those who profess to be Bible believing fundamentalists. Those who are faithful in exposing error according to the Bible are now being widely denounced, and are accused of being unloving and unkind. In this tract we intend to present the teaching of the Bible on this vital subject.

I. It Is Right To Practice Biblical Judgment

One of the most misused verses in the Bible is, “Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matt. 7: 1). Every Scripture verse should be read in its context, if we are to properly understand the true meaning. In vs. 2-5 of this same chapter it is evident that v. 1 is referring to hypocritical judgment. A brother who has a beam in his own eye should not be judging the brother who may have a mote in his eye. The lesson is plain, you cannot judge another for his sin if you are guilty of the same sin.
Those who cling to “Judge not, that ye be not judged, ” to condemn those who expose error should read the entire chapter. Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing… ” (v. 15). How can we know false prophets unless we judge them by the Word of God? If we know the false prophets, how can we fail to exam the sheep of these “ravening wolves?” All through the Bible we find proof that they should be identified and exposed.
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit” (vs. 16,17). Did the Lord mean that we could not judge the tree (person), by the fruit of their life and doctrine? Certainly not, for you cannot know without judging. All judgment should be on the basis of Bible teaching, not according to whims or prejudices.
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment ” (John 7:24). Here our Lord commands that we are to “judge righteous judgment, ” which is judgment based upon the Word of God. If judgment is made upon any other basis, other than the Word of God, it is a violation of Matt. 7: 1. Webster’s Dictionary says that a judge is “one who declares the law. ” The faithful Christian must discern or judge on the basis of God’s inspired law, the Bible.
A fornicator is described in I Cor. 5:1-13. Paul “judged” (v.3) the man even though he was absent, and he told the Church at Corinth that they were to “judge” (v. 12) those that were within. The Greek word for “judge” is the same here as in Matt. 7: 1. Paul did not violate “judge not, that ye be not judged, ” in judging the man, nor in instructing the Church to judge also. All of this judgment was according to the Word of God.
A person who is able to discern between good and evil, has at least one of the major marks of spiritual maturity. “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Heb. 5:14). W.E. Vine says of the meaning of discern, “a distinguishing, a clear discrimination, discerning, judging; is translated ‘discerning’ in I Cor. 12: 10 of discerning spirits, judging by evidence whether they are evil or of God. ” Strong also agrees that it means to judge.

stop the complains! and give God the thanks always

Compliment of the season to every one of you, I am wishing you a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.I really did not do so much during the Christmas season. Some of you might not really have enjoyed the Christmas, maybe because you didn't not get what you asked for, or you lost a friend, relative, colleagues or a pet, and this made your Christmas a sorrowful one, but this should not  lead you to complaining and grumbling against God.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

stop complaining and give thanks to God The more you are complaining that you are suffering or not enjoying anything at all, i want to let you know that so many people are suffering more than you can imagine. you might have gotten things you don't expect during the whole year, something bad happen to a friend, family or yourself, and you are feeling bad and devastated, asking God the same question everyday ..... "WHY ME", "WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS" . Instead of giving God thanks, you complain and question God.

will God forgive me?

Will God ever forgive me? I have ask myself this question time without number and sometimes, i end up saying "NO" because i felt like what i did is so awful that God will never look down from his throne and say he will forgive me for that. Fortunately for me, going closer to God, reading my Bible and praying too, i have come to see that God cares for us and he want to have a good relationship as father to son will always want to have.

There was a time some group of people and myself are to present a Drama in my Church, and in that Drama i was gonna end up a pastor, raising the death and healing the sick. Something funny happened a day before the drama was to be presented, you all should know what happened, i committed a sin.knowing fully well that i will be a pastor tomorrow,

will God forgive me?
i felt bad within myself, and was scared that i can't be forgiven.Truly you might have felt this way before, that God can't forgive you for your sins but the truth is; God loves you and cares about you.

(1 john 1:9)  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

he (God) already says that if we could confess with our mouth our sins, that he is faithful to forgive us. but while do will still feel this way?

The Devil is using this to make us feel this way, because he knows that when we feel like that, we will not be of the assurance that God has truly forgiven us.I want you to know that God is faithful and Just, he is not a man that he should lie neither is he a son of man that he should repent. God keeps his promises and he exhorts is word more than his name, therefor he will forgive us.

Let us not be carried away with the fact that God will always forgive us when we sin, but lets hold on firmly to the word of christ that we should strive to be holy as the father in heaven is holy, pray to God that he should help you move from reading his word to doing his word and moving to perfection.

Learn to desire for the milk of the word, therein which we grow.

Godly Habits and Entertainments

Hi, and how was your weekend? believe you did have a good time. This is a new week and we should all have goals and things we want to achieve. anyways, this is not today's topic we are not going to be discussing  "SETTING OF  GOALS AND ACHIEVING OF GOALS". we are going to be talking about Godly Habits and Entertainments.

When i was reading a book by Gerald B Stanton, titled "CHRISTIAN FOUNDATIONS", i found a part which was talking about habits and entertainments that are Godly and that should be emulated by Christians.Which i thought will be a good idea if i should share it with you guys.
UnGodly habit

Godly habits
There are certain familiar habits and entertainments which fill the horizon of the unregenerate. While normal for the unsaved, they never cease to lead astray the children of God. According to Gerald, "it is not our right to list what types of habits or entertainments are bad but we could give you ways to discover those bad ones."

How can we discover which Habits and Entertainments are not Godly
You can use the questions below  to assess what habits and entertainments are not Godly.
  1. Is it expressly forbidden in the word of God? does it violate any plain teaching of scripture (john 12:48)?
  2. Do the best christians i know participate in this things? Do no lightly depart from the accepted standards of the Christian community. If Christ were alive today, would he be found doing it? he is our primary example (1 peter 2:21, John 17:16)
  3. Recognizing that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, (1 corinthians 3:16), does this activity injure, pollute or defile his temple?
  4. Can i do this thing in the name of Christ, asking him to bless it (Colossians 3:17, 2 Timothy 2:4)?
  5. Recognizing that i have within me two opposing natures, which one does this pracice feed?, the OLD or the NEW?  ( colossians 3:5-10)?
  6. Would i like to be so engaged Christ returns (Titus 2:12-14, 1 john 3:3)?
  7. Might it cause me to become a stumbling block to some weaker brothers in Christ? (1 corinthians 8:9-13)
  8. How would it affect my testimony before the unsaved (Philippians 2:15)? would i be willing for my friends to know all about it?
  9. Would it involve a waste of God's MONEY (luke 19:12-13), TIME (ephesians 5:16) or TALENTS (luke 12:48) invested in me?
  10. Is it one of the World's typical amusements (1john 2:15-17)? Does it Cause me to be with God's people or the Devil's Crowd (james 4:4)?.
You can use this questions to know if an habit or entertainment you want to go into or like doing is Godly or not,
NB: take your time to answer this questions.

Bible Verses to overcoming Temptations

The bible tells us to flee from every temptation that comes our way. It does not say stay with it you have the power to control it but it said flee from temptation. For those of you who have not read the first part of this article you can read it here .

If you're struggling with temptation in your life, take some encouragement from these verses and pray the prayer below, asking the Lord to help you deal with the temptations you face each day.

here are the list of bible verses to help your overcome temptations.

(psalm 119:9-10)
Where shall a young man cleanse his way?
but  by taking heed to thy word.
With my whole heart have I sought thee:  O let me not wander from thy commandments.

(psalm 119:11)
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

(Mathew 4:1-4)
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

(luke 11:14)
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

(james 4:7)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

(james 4:17)
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

(1 Corinthians 10:13)
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

 Dear Lord,
You know the temptations that I am facing today. But your Word promises that I will not be tempted more than what I can handle I ask for your grace to stand up under the temptation whenever I encounter it. Your Word also tells me you will provide a way out of the temptation. Please, Lord, give me the wisdom to walk away when I am tempted, and the clarity to see the way out that you will provide. Thank you, God, that you are a faithful saviour.
Amen

HOW TO OVERCOME TEMPTATIONS

Temptations is one issue Christians faces today. No body is above being tempted just like the politicians will say, nobody is above the law.
Without any question at all, the biggest problem that Christians have is temptation. By far, it's the biggest problem. If you can eliminate temptation, you can eliminate sin, because succumbing to temptations is what produces sin.

If Jesus Christ had succumb to the devil, it would have lead him into sinning against God.Just like i said earlier, "TEMPTATIONS BEGAT SIN". Temptation, is not difficult to resist or overcome, infact it is a very easy thing to overcome temptation, when you know the word and what you are focusing on.

A pastor once told his congregation, "I learned a great lesson from a dog." He said, "His master used to put a bit of meat or a biscuit or some kind of food on the ground, and he'd say to the dog, 'Don't eat that,' and the dog would run over and eat it, so he'd hit the dog. And he put another piece of meat on the ground. He'd say, 'Don't eat that.' The dog would go over and eat it, and he hit him again. Well, after awhile, the dog got the message: eat meat, get hit. So the dog decided he wouldn't eat the meat." But the man telling the story related how that the dog never looked at the meat. The dog evidently felt that if he looked at the meat, the temptation to disobey would be too great, and so he looked steadfastly into his master's face and never took his eyes off him, and thus the temptation never caused a problem.

And that is exactly how temptations works, you know one thing about temptation is that when you overcome it, it takes you to your promotion, and the other thing is you will be happy you didn't fall into it.

In other to overcome temptations, you have to focus you whole attention towards Jesus Christ.
As long as we keep all of our attentions to that temptation, just like the Dog did in the above example before realizing what his master want it to do, it has gotten to stroke of a stick on its head. But when he got what the master needed it to understand, it became focused on not getting hit with a stick, so the Dog had to take its focus away from the meet and focused on its master.

WHAT TEMPTATIONS BRINGS INTO THE LIFE OF ITS VICTIM

These are some things temptations cause in the life of a victim.
  • IT BRINGS CONDEMNATION AND REPROACH
  • IT TAKES YOU FAR AWAY FROM CHRIST
  • WHEN YOU FALL FOR A TEMPTATION, IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR THE DEVIL TO ATTACK
N.B  ONE KEY THING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TEMPTATION IS THAT NO TEMPTATIONS IS BIGGER THAN YOU, THAT IS, ALL TEMPTATIONS YOU COME ACROSS, YOU HAVE THE POWER TO OVERCOME IT.

We are told that Christ was also tempted: “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).

Where, then, do these temptations come from? First of all, they do not come from God, although He does allow them. James 1:13 says, “For God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.” In the first chapter of Job, we see that God allowed Satan to tempt Job, but with restrictions. Satan is roaming around on the earth like a lion, seeking people to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Verse 9 tells us to resist him, knowing that other Christians are also experiencing his attacks. By these passages we can know that temptations come from Satan. We see in James 1:14 that temptation originates in us as well. We are tempted when we are “carried away and enticed by our own lust” (verse 14). We allow ourselves to think certain thoughts, allow ourselves to go places we should not go, and make decisions based on our lusts that lead us into the temptation..

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME TEMPTATION?

Yes! this is where we are headed to. how can we overcome temptation.
Firstly, you have to know that temptation is not from God, don't be deceive by what people say. Don't always give them 100% accuracy, the bible is there for you to check.

Now that you know this lets move to how you can overcome temptations.
  1. have and put your total focus on Jesus Christ.
  2. Believe that you have the power to overcome every temptation that come on your way.
  3. when tempted, always say to your self "i am a child of God, i cannot do this to offend God.
  4. learn to quote the bible.
  5. always ask for the grace of God, because you can't do this alone.
thank you for reading this article, i will pile up some bible verse to help you conquer temtations in our next article.

hope you have learn something today? you can drop your comments if i have missed out something, that you thinks might be  of help to us all.

5 reason that God Exist

Just of recent a webmaster decided he won't serve God anymore because he believe God allowed suffering, he said if there is a God, there should be no suffering. Furthermore he concluded that he want to be an atheist.

Being an atheist is believing that there is no God. Do you really thinks that there is no God?
do you really think that we just fall from another planet and became adult? but there is a God, a all knowing God, A loving God.
You can't search for something you know doesn't exist. The claim that God doesn't exist is self contradictory.

I am going to prove to you that there is a God without the use of the bible. don't be surprised. Of course there are diverse ways to prove the existence of a powerful God that is "greater than the greatest"
"higher than the highest" "better than the best".

This might not be a new thing to you, but i will be using the acronym "GODLY" to prove the existence of God.

how to prove the existence of God using The term "GODLY"

using this term Godly we are going to prove that our God, Jehovah God exist.
  • G = Genetics
A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes, which are made up of DNA, act as instructions to make molecules called proteins. In humans, genes vary in size from a few hundred DNA bases to more than 2 million bases. The Human Genome Project has estimated that humans have between 20,000 and 25,000 genes.
Every person has two copies of each gene, one inherited from each parent. Most genes are the same in all people, but a small number of genes (less than 1 percent of the total) are slightly different between people. Alleles are forms of the same gene with small differences in their sequence of DNA bases. These small differences contribute to each person’s unique physical features. (source:ghr.nlm.nih.gov )

                                                       THE HUMAN DNA

DNA which stands for DeoxyriboNucleic Acid. this contains every thing you can think of about the human body, from the nose you got from Dad to how you behave are stored in the DNA.

An important property of DNA is that it can replicate, or make copies of itself. Each strand of DNA in the double helix can serve as a pattern for duplicating the sequence of bases. This is critical when cells divide because each new cell needs to have an exact copy of the DNA present in the old cell.

With all the functions of this DNA do you think that this DNA whatever decides on its own to have this function and power or do you think it was created and designed?

  •  O = Origin

Everything that has a beginning will also have an ending and vice versa. In Mathematics and Physics, when working with the Graph, velocity, acceleration and other things, there is something they call point of initial or origin. How come we all believe that in mathematics and not about the earth and the universe. And if there is an origin then there must be an "originator".

                                                                     The EARTH

The earth is something that is so exceptional in all it's attribute. well organized, well structured, well tilted to the center, not too far away from the sun, neither is is too close to the sun. good landscape, and topography. if scientist are too design something that is same as earth, believe me you it is going to take them 1000 century. In fact they can't even complete it.

  • D = Design
Every designs have a designer, sure you know that why do i need to tell you that. take the universe for example, it has a great design that no other gods or person can ever create. but people still believe with all this, that it just evolve because it choose to evolve.

Why is it that you didn't choose to evolve but come through you mother?

why is it that it is only the first human on earth are the ones who evolve an apart from that nobody has been evolving? but they rather come through a woman.

  • L = Laws
The force (f) of attraction between two particles is directly proportional to the product of their mass M1 and M2 are inversely proportional to the square of their distance apart.

There are laws that govern the physical entities and matter. there are so many laws that are universal today, but people are neglecting the laws of the lord. forsaking his commandment.

  • Y = Yield
What will the believe in God yield? of course it will yield good thins, eternal life, success, prosperity and lets not forget that believing in God, also brings also persecution from the people of the world, great temptations of our faith from the devil.

but be steadfast and holding strongly to God's word.

People who obey God's law, pray to God have little or no blood pressure, are hospitalized less, have stronger immune system and are likely to live longer and overall live healthier.

steps for a young christian

Christianity is a race, that we must run, and not just run but run and finished the race to the first place.
one thing we need to know is - "as a christian when we are born again, does not me we should do anything and the grace of God we speak for you". but the reverse is true! when you receive Jesus Christ as our lord and personal savior, you need to walk in him, building yourself daily in faith and trust in Christ.

Daily growth in Jesus Christ is what we need.growing always in him , according [colossians 2:6-7] it says "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,  rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.". don't you like this bible passage?, you know what i love this passage, now lets take a look at the sentences available there.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the lord. ( now this is the first step before being a christian-'Christlike', you receive him as your saviour)

so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in faith. (this is the next thing you should do, walking him, i.e reading his word, The Bible, praying, sharing the gospel with people. listen to the word so that you can be established in faith, because the bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.)

as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. ( as you have been taught does not mean the way your teacher as taught you, or any other person but the way Jesus himself has taught you, from his word. then you abound yourself with thanksgiving, giving thanks to him all day for his salvation that he has giving to us)

FIRST STEP FOR A YOUNG CHRIST FOLLOWER

  1.  Christianity is a life to live [john 10:10]     The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. If you have receive Jesus Christ, the promise in that verse is for you, you will have life abundantly, you will not die, not fall sick, and not only that but life in abundant.
  2. Grow in grace [2 peter 3:18] but grow in grace and in the knowledge of our lord Jesus Christ. How can we grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ?
  •   by reading his word" the Bible"
  •   cultivating good christian friends
  •   obeying the will of God
    3. Our spiritual foes  (this has a young christian you need to know this, so has to know what you are re ally going into.
They are the "flesh" "world" "Satan"  this three things are what will want to come against you and Christ, to spoil your relationship with him. and this you need to stand in strong faith, and be rooted in the word of God.

By the grace of God we are going to talk about those three disturbing factors later, i will try and work out some article on that..
